It’s more practice than I’m okay with.

I don’t have a Trader Joe’s supermarket near my house. Rather, it takes about 30 minutes by car to the nearest station. So he tends to only go to Trader Joe’s once a month. You don’t have time to go grocery shopping far away once a week.

When you actually plan the unplanned

One of the great things about Trader Joe’s is that they tend to introduce new products in rotation or seasonally. In some cases, those new products are used for a long time. In some cases, you can find them for weeks before they disappear from shelves for the rest of the year, or in some cases, permanently.

Either way, Trader Joe’s is always introducing new items, so I often scoop up products I didn’t know existed. Only those purchases don’t put me in financial shackles because I’m actually planning them.

We know it can be tempting to try new products at Trader Joe’s. So I incorporate those impulse purchases into my grocery budget. What I try to do is limit the non-essential grocery purchases I make at other stores. This frees up the budget to “buy fun food” at stores like Trader Joe’s and Costco (and sometimes surprises with new products). shelves, especially on vacation).

Shopping in the main supermarket has never been so much fun. I tend to run in, scoop up the essentials, and head out. And while my Costco runs tend to be more interesting (because of the “what are they introducing this week?” factor), even those can get a little drab. vegetable.

But shopping at Trader Joe’s is a different experience and one I look forward to every month. That’s why it makes sense to dedicate your budget to impulse purchases. Snacks and pantry items from Trader Joe’s make me happy.
