ECSU to host ribbon-cutting ceremony for two new business schools and teaching labs on November 1
The School of Education and Business at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) will celebrate the opening of the Entrepreneurship Fab Lab and Social Media Marketing Lab on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
The new university laboratories are part of the Department of Business, Accounting and Sports Management. Both labs were funded through a grant from his PNC Foundation awarded in February 2022. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and computer stations, labs foster students’ ability to innovate, design, create, build, or support. business development.
Part of the award established the Entrepreneur Lab, which provides resources and development opportunities for students interested in starting and marketing a business. Students can prototype their products and are equipped with Glowforge, Cricuit, embroidery machines, sewing machines, heat presses, and creativity tools to help bring their ideas to life.
The Social Media Marketing Lab supports the English and Digital Media programs, as well as the in-class curriculum for Business, Accounting, and Sports Management. Equipped with iMacs, laptops, desktop computers, wide format printers, shadow boxes, green screens, and camera setups, students can create marketing materials for their business.
