His vision and experience as a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, who now runs B-FLEXION and runs his sister and mother Bertarelli Foundation, has inspired Babson College to advance the field of family entrepreneurship. I came.

Bertarelli returned to Babson Commons’ Wellesley campus on Tuesday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ralph Z. and Charlotte R. Sorenson Atrium at Babson Commons, officially dedicating the Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship at Babson Commons and honoring him and his family. celebrated their generous dedication and support for Babson.

“I haven’t set foot on campus for quite some time, but my heart has never left,” said Bertarelli. “Babson really prepared me for what was to come.”

Bertarelli spoke about the impact Babson had on him and his transition as the third generation in the family’s pharmaceutical business. “We were lucky in a way that our transition was forced,” he said. “What I wasn’t prepared for, because of everything I learned at Babson, was the dynamics that could exist between families.”

Bertarelli, who received the inaugural Babson-Camus Global Family Entrepreneurship Award last year, said in particular that Lauri Union, Nulsen Family Executive Director of the Bertarelli Institute, acknowledged its importance in family entrepreneurship. “Thank you Mr. Lauri. Inducted into Babson’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs® in 2008, Bertarelli emphasized the important role the Bertarelli Institute can play in enhancing Babson’s entrepreneurial reputation.
