The easiest to get is from Seattle. I’ve found that many flights have up to four award seats in business class.

We couldn’t find a space for more than 2 people at a time, but availability from Los Angeles was good.

There’s also a decent prize space out of San Francisco.

Of course, you can also connect to these flights without additional miles if you book with an Alaska Airlines frequent flyer plan or American Airlines AAdvantage. For example, on the same 60,000 Alaska mile itinerary from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Tahiti, the DEN to PPT leg is domestic Alaska first class.

The best way to reserve these seats is with Alaska Airlines frequent flyer plans and American Airlines AAdvantage.

The Alaska Mileage Plan charges 60,000 miles one way from the US to Tahiti in Business Class on Air Tahiti Nui. Alaska also allows free stopovers on one-way award tickets, so Tahiti can be your stopover if you want to visit Australia or other parts of the South Pacific.

Another option is to book through American Airlines’ AAdvantage program. American AAdvantage charges 80,000 miles for one-way business class on Air Tahiti Nui.
