Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods, a manufacturer of plant-based frozen foods, announced Thursday that John Sayour has joined the company as chief financial officer. Dr. Praeger’s is a portfolio company of Vestar Capital Partners.

“John brings over 30 years of diverse and forward-thinking financial experience in consumer goods companies. It will be a tremendous asset for organizations looking to capitalize on the strong tailwinds in the category,” said Dr. Andy Reichgut. Praeger’s CEO said:

Sayour joined Dr. Praeger’s from Blue Triton Brands as Chief Transformation Officer and Supply Chain CFO. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Supply Chain at Nestlé Waters where he served as CFO for 22 years. Previously, he was Director of Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting at Fortune Brands and began his career as Senior Auditor for Arthur Young. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and International Business from the University of Connecticut Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Computers from his SUNY College in Albany.
