An insider analyzed data from H-1B visa applications to estimate how much tech giants are paying their employees.
The lowest salary cited by the outlet was $62,733, and the highest was a whopping $415,000.
The data used was publicly accessible and came from the U.S. Office of Foreign Workers Certification, and the agency provided an organizational unit for the work, the outlet reported.
To attract skilled workers from abroad, companies can apply for talent sponsorship through the H-1B visa program. The program specifically requires companies to commit to paying non-U.S. workers the same as U.S. workers.
Apple beats analysts’ expectations in its latest quarterly earnings call, staying clear of the tech layoff carnage. In the United States alone, he directly employs 80,000 people, according to the company.
