Parsippany—Two more $15,000 checks for Morris County small business owners this week as the Morris County Small Business Grant Program prepares to close its application window on Friday, Sept. 30. It has been delivered.

Morris County Commissioner Stephen Shaw presented the check yesterday during a visit to the popular Empire Diner and PJ’s Plumbing Supplies on West Clinton Street in Dover.

The family business is owned by his father, John F. Hosking. Empire His Diner is also a family owned business owned by Bobby Sizas.

“We are very appreciative of this.” Son Frank Sizas said, pointing out that the restaurant industry has been hit hard by the pandemic and that establishments are still working toward recovery.

Loretta Gragnani, Vice President of the Parsippany Township Council, joined the Shaw Commission and presented the grant to Frank Sizas at the diner yesterday.

The Morris County Board of Trustees, which offers grants of up to $15,000 per entity, plans to approve 723 applications before program submissions close on Friday, September 30.

However, the business owner or non-profit organization submits an application that includes all costs that they believe may qualify for the grant, even if the total amount of a single claim exceeds his $15,000. is recommended.

A final review may determine that some costs submitted for consideration are not covered by the Program Guidelines. However, by submitting all costs that may qualify, applicants increase their chances of getting the largest grant possible.
