We welcome Darren Pemberton, MD, to UI Healthcare as its newest Director of Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity. In this role, Pemberton will direct all planning, mitigation, response and recovery execution of UI Healthcare’s emergency preparedness program. He provides guidance to organizations on their overall emergency response readiness and agency capacity to continue services.

After spending more than 20 years in the United States Air Force, Pemberton came to Iowa and served as an emergency manager for 10 years, including in South Korea, Germany, and various locations in the United States. He maintains federal, state, and governmental ties. A local agency that works with UI Healthcare during emergencies.
