Artist & Label Marketing Coordinator

CmdShft – a technology-focused boutique distribution and label services company – is expanding its marketing team with a Nashville-based Artist & Label Marketing Coordinator. This role provides enhanced support to the Marketing Director with a focus on serving independent artists and labels with a high-touch roster.

primary responsibility
  • Assist artists and labels in creating, developing and executing marketing plans, campaigns and strategies
    Identify priority releases and present key marketing drivers to various distribution partners
  • Work with independent artists and labels on long-term plans and strategies
  • Advising clients on their digital strategy on an ongoing basis.Highlight best practices, release schedules, budgeting, and current trends to drive awareness and traffic
  • Help manage all CmdShft digital properties, including but not limited to posting and scheduling content on multiple social media platforms
  • Creation of multimedia digital content for social media and artist release planning for CmdShft
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify new potential revenue opportunities
  • Assist the operations team with deliveries and customer support inquiries as needed
  • Stay connected to the music business market, especially the local independent scene in Nashville, and stay abreast of emerging social and industry trends

  • At least 1 year of experience in the music industry (preferably in the marketing department)
  • Absolute passion for music and familiarity with various genres
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Advanced computer skills such as MS Office, Drive, Dropbox, Google Docs
  • Skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Rush, Premier) preferred
